Electromechanical Technician

Location: Sacramento, CA

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Role Overview

An opportunity is available for an Electromechanical Technician. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting advanced material handling equipment. The position requires a professional who can ensure the operational readiness of automated systems within a dynamic environment. The technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, problem resolution, and maintaining a safe workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete and document preventative maintenance routines.
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Create and manage work orders, detailing labor hours and parts used.
• Develop training plans for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, and relays.
• Maintain working relationships across the operations facility.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move items up to 49 lbs and stand for shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electro-mechanical experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent training.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with automated systems and controls.
• 3 years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
• 3 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance.
• 3 years of experience with blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Familiarity with MHE safety standards.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
