Akkodis is seeking a Document Control Specialist for a Contract job with a client in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate must have strong experience managing document control systems within a Quality Management System (QMS) environment, including handling engineering documentation, change control processes, and audit readiness.
Rate Range: $25/hour to $30/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Document Control Specialist job responsibilities include:
- Route, release, and maintain controlled documents, ensuring compliance with document control and change management processes.
- Manage the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, including facilitating change control, tracking metrics, running CRB meetings, and releasing finalized documents.
- Maintain secure access and organization of electronic and physical document archives, including offsite storage and retrieval.
- Support audit and regulatory activities by organizing and providing required documentation for inspections and reviews.
- Review design drawing packages (2D/3D) for completeness and accuracy, ensuring proper documentation standards are met.
- Process BOM data entry into ERP systems per approved ECOs and utilize automation tools where applicable.
- Associate's degree in a technical or related field.
- 5 years of experience in document control within a technical or regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of document control principles, configuration management, and change control processes.
- Experience working with engineering drawings and BOM structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic database applications.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast?paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and deadlines.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
