Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain DB2 database environments
- Manage DB2 licensing (Passport Advantage) and ensure compliance
- Monitor database performance, tuning, and optimization
- Perform database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Write and maintain shell scripts for automation and maintenance tasks
- Support AIX/UNIX/Linux systems related to DB2 operations
- Troubleshoot database and system issues efficiently
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability
- 8 years of experience with DB2 Databases
- 8 years of experience with DB2 Licensing / Passport Advantage
- 2 years of experience with AIX/UNIX/Linux platforms
- 2 years of experience in Shell scripting/programming
- 5 years of experience with DB2 on AIX
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience in enterprise-level database environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and reliability
