DevOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Englewood, CO.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced DevOps operational support across multiple platforms (Access Cloud, Connected AMP, PMA, DAA, Telegraph) in a large-scale hybrid environment
• Manage and support AWS-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability
• Administer and maintain Kubernetes environments, including clusters, pods, and deployments using Helm and YAML configurations
• Execute and support CI/CD pipelines (Git-based), including code deployments, release management, and environment updates
• Perform Linux system administration, leveraging strong command-line skills for troubleshooting, configuration, and system optimization
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, application, and network-related issues in real time
• Configure and manage firewalls, load balancers, and cloud access controls across distributed systems
• Support development teams by provisioning environments, resolving deployment issues, and enabling efficient application delivery
• Perform live troubleshooting during incidents, including navigating environments, executing commands, and diagnosing root causes
• Maintain and improve operational processes, system reliability, and automation across cloud and on-prem environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and program leadership, to support ongoing platform initiatives
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-scale environment supporting millions of connected devices
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5-10 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure operations roles
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services (primary environment)
• Deep experience with Kubernetes administration, including clusters, pods, deployments, and Helm charts
• Advanced Linux administration skills with strong command-line proficiency
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (Git-based) and automated deployment workflows
• Proven ability to troubleshoot live systems and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues
• Experience with infrastructure components such as firewalls, load balancers, and cloud access management
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols in hybrid (cloud/on-prem) environments
• Experience supporting code deployments, environment configuration, and infrastructure lifecycle management
• Comfortable working in terminal-heavy environments and performing hands-on technical evaluations
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently and -hit the ground running-
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  
  

Nice to Have:

• AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications
• Programming or scripting experience (Python, Go, or similar)
• Experience with MongoDB (Mongo Atlas), PostgreSQL, or Kafka
• Exposure to AI tools or automation platforms
• Experience in large-scale, high-availability infrastructure environments
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
