- The Desktop Support Specialist will provide technical support for desktop systems, hardware, and applications across the organization.
- The role involves configuring, deploying, and maintaining computer systems while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- The position requires troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, and managing IT assets effectively.
- 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role.
- Experience with desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware including PCs, printers, and monitors.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Mac operating systems including iOS devices.
- Valid driver s license and ability to travel to remote sites.
- Experience with imaging and configuring desktop systems.
- Experience with IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
- Experience working with service desk and vendor support teams.
- Configure and deploy new PCs using standard software and imaging tools.
- Reimage and redeploy systems ensuring data security.
- Maintain inventory and verify incoming equipment accuracy.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users.
- Provide support for desktop applications and operating systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams for installations and technical support.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty services.
- Provide loaner equipment when necessary.
- Perform incident management and service requests.
- Support system upgrades, installations, and documentation.
- Monitor system tools and analyze trends to proactively manage systems.
- Ensure proper disposal of electronic waste according to policy.
- MCSE certification preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
