Design Verification Engineer Overview Upscale AI is developing next-generation Ethernet networking infrastructure optimized for large-scale AI and GPU cluster environments. We are seeking experienced Design Verification Engineers with strong networking and ASIC verification backgrounds to help validate high-performance networking silicon and AI fabric technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute verification plans for networking ASICs and SoC designs
- Build and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM-based testbenches and verification environments
- Verify high-speed Ethernet protocols, packet processing, and networking datapaths
- Perform coverage analysis, debug failures, and drive coverage closure
- Collaborate with architecture, RTL, and system teams throughout the development cycle
- Support simulation, emulation, and formal verification flows
- Work with AI/ML-driven verification tools and modern verification methodologies
- 5 15 years of ASIC/SoC Design Verification experience
- Strong expertise with SystemVerilog and UVM
- Background in networking technologies and protocols
- Experience with Ethernet verification is a plus, and knowledge of PCI Express is also applicable
- Familiarity with high-speed networking, switching, or AI infrastructure environments
- Understanding of verification methodologies including assertions, coverage, and debug
- Experience with simulation and/or emulation platforms
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Ethernet switch ASICs, NICs, RDMA, or RoCE technologies
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads or ML-assisted verification flows
- Experience with vendor solutions such as Synopsys Verdi AI, Cadence Verisium, Siemens Verification IQ, or Questa One
- Familiarity with LLM-based development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
- Exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows utilizing agents, skills, and automation tools
- Background from networking, semiconductor, or AI infrastructure companies
- Strong debugging and cross-functional collaboration skills
