Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve Data centre network architecture (L2/L3, segmentation, redundancy models)
- Define standards for VLANs, IP addressing, routing, and firewall policies
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies in switching, firewalling, and Data Center
- Interconnect (DCI) to maintain a competitive edge.
- Own configuration and lifecycle of switches and firewalls
- Lead complex network changes and migrations with minimal downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced L1–L3 issues (latency, packet loss, asymmetric routing)
- Optimize network performance and resiliency
- Drive network and infrastructure automation (Ansible, Python, APIs)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code for network configurations
- Build self-service capabilities for VLANs, IPs, and firewall rules
- Design and enforce network security architecture
- Own firewall strategy and segmentation models
- 7 years of experience in data center operations, network engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
- Deep expertise in networking (TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, routing, switching)
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade switches and firewalls
- Strong experience troubleshooting complex network and hardware issues
- Experience designing highly available and scalable network architectures
- Experience with NetDevOps / network automation (Python, Ansible, APIs)
- Understanding of Kubernetes networking and overlay/underlay models
- Experience with observability and telemetry systems
