Job Description -
Data Center Fiber Cabling Technician
Locations: Onsite in Ashburn, VA // Council Bluffs IA|| local required Or relocate on their own expenses || onsite from day one
Duration: 6 months
There are 3 shifts with different duration:
1st shift: 1 year
2nd shift: 3-4 months contract a little higher rate is possible
3rd shift 3-4 months contract a little higher rate is possible
must have their own:
ESD Safety shoe
Anti cut gloves
cable Velcro
Scope
JD:
Inspect and clean fiber cables
Label cables on both ends with Flag Labeler
Customer to provide labeling schema
Install pre-terminated fiber cables according to Google provided cabling matrix
Utilize existing pathways and overhead ladder racks/ trays
Secure and organize cables
Customer provided materials: Fiber Inspection Probe, Labeler, Fiber cleaning kits
Desired Skills And Experience
CABLING, FIBER, TECHNICIAN, DATA CENTER
Must be able to answer these questions:
How do you dress Cables properly?
How do you put labels on the cables correctly?
How do you use wire manager?
How do you dress fiber from the ladder rack into the cabinet?
Explain what Fiber Inspection means.
What is the cleaning process of fiber.
How do you run/pull fiber.
