OverviewThis is a Google data center project, focused on large-scale fiber patching using pre-terminated assemblies. Ashburn is already active and requires consistent staffing with clean, organized technicians who can work independently and follow process. Day shift runs twelve months, night and graveyard run three to four months. Responsibilities• Inspect and clean fiber using proper procedures• Label fiber on both ends using flag labels• Install pre-terminated fiber cables following Google’s cabling matrix• Use existing pathways, overhead ladders, and trays• Dress, secure, and organize fiber cleanly• Keep a safe and tidy work area inside live data halls• Report blockers, missing materials, or issues to the lead immediately Tools Provided On-SiteTechnicians do not need to bring these.• Fiber cleaning kits (cletop, one-click, LC, SC, MPO)• Patch cords, couplers, bulkheads• Fiber video scope• MPO inspection/cleaning tools• Visual Fault Locator (VFL)• Live Fiber Detector (LFD)• Label printers and TZe 12mm tape• Fiber inspection probe• Fiber cleaning kits• ESD equipment• Cage nuts, screws, and consumables• Pathways and mounting hardware Tools Technicians Must Bring• Screwdriver set• Wire cutters/snips• Tape measure Requirements• Basic English communication• Background check within past three years• Standard drug screen• Valid ID with name, DOB, and photo for site access• Reliable, punctual, able to work eight-hour shifts with weekends off• Ladder work only (no lifts)• Must follow PPE rules Vetting Process• Two to three days for approval• Initial technical vetting, with later spot checks• Background and drug documentation upon request On-Site Structure• Oversight from Park Place team and customer leads• Technical POCs for escalations and support Commitment• Day shift: twelve months• Night/graveyard: three to four monthsCompany DescriptionSOLID Personnel is a niche specific skilled trades recruiting & staffing firm founded in 2013.
