Job Description
- Provides high-level strategic direction and operational oversight for enterprise-wide security initiatives within the financial services sector.
- Formulates, refines, and executes comprehensive information security roadmaps aligned with global banking regulations and corporate objectives.
- Advises senior executives and stakeholders on emerging risk postures, threat landscapes, and mitigation strategies.
- Evaluates, optimizes, and manages complex, multi-million-dollar cybersecurity vendor portfolios and service delivery.
- Drives operational maturity across core security domains, including threat detection, Incident Response, SIEM, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Architects resilient risk governance frameworks and leads audit remediation efforts to ensure continuous regulatory compliance.
- Champions modern security paradigms, such as Zero Trust architecture, across complex and potentially resistant business units.
- Negotiates high-stakes trade-offs between business requirements, aggressive project timelines, and robust security constraints.
- Requires 15 years of progressive IT security leadership experience, preferably within a global banking environment like Barclays.
- Demands elite industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCISO, paired with exceptional communication skills for board-level reporting.
