We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator III to support high-value, complex engineering and construction contracts for electric generation, transmission & distribution, and natural gas infrastructure projects.
This is a senior-level role responsible for the full lifecycle of large-scale capital and maintenance contracts from pre-procurement planning through negotiation, award, administration, and close-out. The ideal candidate has strong construction/engineering contract experience within utilities, energy, or heavy infrastructure environments.

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator III to support high-value, complex engineering and construction contracts for electric generation, transmission & distribution, and natural gas infrastructure projects.
This is a senior-level role responsible for the full lifecycle of large-scale capital and maintenance contracts from pre-procurement planning through negotiation, award, administration, and close-out. The ideal candidate has strong construction/engineering contract experience within utilities, energy, or heavy infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-procurement planning to determine optimal contracting strategies for engineered equipment and construction services
- Partner with project teams to develop and review technical specifications and scopes of work
- Identify and mitigate contractual risk while safeguarding corporate interests
- Prepare contract pro-formas including commercial terms and general conditions
- Lead commercial bid evaluations in coordination with technical teams
- Facilitate contract negotiations alongside Legal, Risk, Regulatory, and business stakeholders
- Prepare award recommendations and manage contract execution
- Administer contracts during performance, including:
- Change orders
- Claims and dispute resolution
- Invoice review and compliance
- Lien law monitoring
- Contract close-out documentation
- Conduct contractor due diligence (technical and financial capability assessments)
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and support supplier diversity initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local procurement regulations
- Support cross-functional initiatives to improve procurement processes and reduce costs
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement practices
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of direct experience in:
- Construction contract administration
- Engineering or capital project environments
- Contract negotiation and commercial management
- Change order and claims management
- Demonstrated experience supporting high-dollar, complex contracts
- Strong understanding of risk management in construction/engineering contracts
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of ERP or SAP systems preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Utility, power generation, transmission & distribution, or natural gas industry experience
- EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contract experience
- Knowledge of lien laws and regulatory compliance in infrastructure projects
- Travel may be required to company locations throughout Florida and vendor locations in North America
- This role operates independently and serves as a key liaison between project teams, Legal, and Risk Management
