The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and improving CNC programs, ensuring high-quality machine operations, and contributing to our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to control a range of machine tools, ensuring the efficient production of parts and assemblies.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models to extract necessary parameters for programming.
- Monitor output to ensure that designs are produced correctly, adjusting machine settings or programming as necessary.
- Perform regular machine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot common issues.
- Work closely with our quality control team to ensure that all products meet our stringent standards for precision and quality.
- Train machine operators and provide technical support to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand product specifications and develop machining strategies accordingly.
- Continually seek opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software, with a strong understanding of machine code and the ability to write and troubleshoot programs.
- Excellent knowledge of the operation, programming, and maintenance of a variety of CNC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles and precision measurement tools.
- Experience working with tight tolerances in a high-volume production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (such as CNC Programming Certification) are an asset.
