Company Overview: We are looking for a skilled TechOps Specialist to join our team and play a key role in managing and optimizing our web systems and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sitecore & Azure Management: Oversee the operation of Sitecore within Azure, including configuring and managing Azure App Services. This includes setting up network restrictions, optimizing service sizing, and conducting advanced restarts as needed.
- Azure Front Door & CDN: Update and manage configurations for Azure Front Door and Azure Content Delivery Network (CDN) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Log Analytics & Cost Reporting: Perform and interpret Azure Log Analytics queries to monitor system performance and security. Report and estimate Azure billing and costs, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- DNS & Apache Management: Manage Azure DNS zones and update Apache redirects on Linux systems to maintain proper routing and access.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Manage, configure, and update Azure DevOps pipelines, Jenkins pipelines, and Git repositories (GitHub and Bitbucket). Ensure smooth integration and continuous delivery processes.
- Web System Setup & Maintenance: Establish and maintain web systems by installing, configuring, and testing server hardware, software, operating systems, and application management systems.
- Automation & Monitoring: Automate code builds, site deployments, and updates. Configure health checks and enforce system and operational policies and procedures.
- Security & Backup: Secure web systems by implementing access controls, ensuring proper backup procedures are in place, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Intermediate-level knowledge of common web server platforms and components, including but not limited to:
- Web and application servers: Apache, IIS, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, AEM
- Windows server and enterprise Linux operating systems (Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu)
- Experience with public cloud hosting providers such as Microsoft Azure, Rackspace Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl, or others.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, the web development life cycle, source control systems, continuous integration, change management, and task-tracking tools (e.g., GIT, Subversion, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, MSBuild, JIRA, Confluence, Puppet, Chef, SonarQube).
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly, self-motivated, and dependable.
- Strong collaboration skills, able to work well in a team environment and across disciplines.
- Experience with advanced git operations and managing large-scale repositories.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex system issues and troubleshoot effectively.
