CAD Engineer
Location: Bellevue, Washington (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a CAD Engineer for a one-year contract position. This role involves developing warehouse building layouts, including material handling equipment and storage systems, using AutoCAD and Revit. The position requires working independently with multiple stakeholders to produce high-quality designs for new and existing fulfillment centers. The work is structured around quarterly deliverables with monthly updates to designs and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant CAD/design experience. Experience in architectural, industrial (floor plans/layouts), or mechanical design is preferred.
Technical Skills:
The pay rate for this position is $40.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.

- Develop specifications for site areas and hardware components.
- Produce drawings and layouts for vendors to use in component selection and placement.
- Support new fulfillment center builds and retrofit projects, focusing on sorter hardware and related components.
- Contribute to hardware placement, layout development, and design optimization.
- Manage designs for 2-3 concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery of quarterly deliverables.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant CAD/design experience. Experience in architectural, industrial (floor plans/layouts), or mechanical design is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D layout work is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment, storage systems, and warehouse design.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor.
- Background in parametric modeling with experience creating detailed families, parts, or dynamic blocks.
- Experience creating or improving drawing standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Familiarity with managing different levels of detail with scalability.
