Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (excluding provincial holidays)
- Hours: 8:15 AM 4:30 PM (Alberta Time)
- Lunch Break: 1 Hour
- Work Model: Hybrid
- Primarily remote within Alberta
- Occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton
We are seeking a Senior Business Consultant with expertise in data governance and data management to support the development of an operational data management system within a regulatory environment. This role focuses on building governance frameworks, defining data processes, and enabling a transition toward a data-driven regulatory model.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a data governance framework aligned with regulatory operations
- Define processes for identifying and onboarding new data from policy or legislative changes
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for regulatory assurance, reporting, and planning
- Establish data quality assurance and control processes
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support system development and data integration
- Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition materials for internal teams
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective data management solutions
- Support the development and evolution of data-driven regulatory systems
- Operational data governance framework
- Data onboarding and lifecycle processes
- Regulatory KPI framework
- Data quality management processes
- Documentation and transition artifacts for internal adoption
- Must meet one of the following:
- University degree in Business, Management, or related field 4 years of experience, OR
- 2-year diploma in a related field 6 years of experience, OR
- 1-year certificate in a related field 7 years of experience
- 10 years of experience in a related role
- Experience in leadership and/or facilitation roles
- 5 years of experience in analytical problem-solving and solution design
- 5 years of experience with system development methodologies and application lifecycle
- 10 years of experience working with stakeholders in IT application development and maintenance
- Certifications such as CAPM, PMP, PgMP, or CMC designation
- Experience managing projects in large, complex organizations
- Experience in digital transformation initiatives or digital delivery programs
- Experience leading enterprise-wide technology change initiatives
- Experience developing business cases across strategic, business, and IT initiatives
- Experience creating communication plans
- Experience developing information management policies, standards, and practices
- Strong expertise in data governance and data management frameworks
- Strategic thinking and solution design
- Stakeholder engagement and facilitation
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
