Batch Operator

We are seeking an experienced OPCON Batch Operator to support and manage enterprise batch processing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, scheduling, troubleshooting, and optimizing batch workflows while ensuring system reliability and performance. This role requires a blend of operational support and development experience in Java-based batch applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, schedule, and manage daily batch processing using OPCON
• Troubleshoot and resolve batch job failures with timely escalation
• Perform root cause analysis and support incident resolution
• Create and maintain job schedules, calendars, and dependencies
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams
• Develop and support Java-based batch applications using Spring Boot and Spring Batch
• Integrate batch jobs with OPCON scheduling workflows
• Build and maintain utilities for batch orchestration, logging, and monitoring
• Automate operational tasks using Java, shell scripting, or OPCON tools
• Ensure batch processing meets SLA and quality standards
• Participate in testing, code reviews, and deployment activities
• Provide on-call support and work in flexible shifts as required
  
  

Required Skills:

• OPCON or similar batch scheduling tools
• Java and Spring Framework
• Spring Boot and Spring Batch
• Linux (Red Hat environment)
• SQL querying
• Basic knowledge of Splunk
• Windows Administration fundamentals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Scripting experience using Shell or similar tools
• Experience in batch automation and orchestration tools
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging frameworks
