Job Description: Regular and predictable attendance is required
The *** Company is seeking an Assistant Background Screening Specialist to join their team, located in Mesa, AZ.
This role will work in a fast-paced team environment, where adapting quickly to changing priorities and collaborating effectively with colleagues is imperative for success. The selected candidate will have strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist the Background Screening team under the direction and in consultation with Background Screening Leader.
Collect and gather information from external agencies and internal systems for data analysis.
Work in a high-volume and fast paced team environment.
Communicate with candidates and business partners about background screening process and follow-up actions.
Assist in conducting internal systems searches in support of visitor badging access
Create background screening cases in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements including relevant federal and state laws.
Prepare information and cases in support of Background Screening and Adjudication team as well as internal investigative teams, Corporate Investigations, Ethics, Law, and Human Resources teams.
Required Skills:
2 years of experience conducting background screenings and/or investigations
2 years of experience managing a caseload, and using electronic databases to track and access information
3 years of experience using Microsoft Office Applications like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Preferred Skills
Fair Credit Reporting Act Certification
Have knowledge of the criminal justice system and the stages of adjudication in criminal matters.
Candidate must be deemed trustworthy and reliable to handle confidential and sensitive personally identifiable information.
Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), as related to the background screening industry.
Experience with state and federal law limitations as they pertain to employment law is a plus.
