Backend Java Developer (Contract)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that currently has a contract opportunity for a Backend Java Developer to lend specific subject matter knowledge around Java, Spring Boot, microservices, KafKa, and CI/CD. The candidate is required to be onsite 4 days per week in either San Leandro, CA or Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications and services
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through code reviews and testing
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5 years of experience with full proficiency in required skills
• Proven experience in backend development with Java, SpringBoot, microservices, KafKa, CI/CD
• Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines

• Experience in the insurance industry, specifically P&C
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
