- Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems
- Perform equipment setup and maintenance activities
- Use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures for use
- Adhere to general best shop practices, including PPE and shop safety requirements
- Apply 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness in daily tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines
- Document and report any issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests
Required Skills:
- J STD 001 certification
- IPC 620 certification
- 5 years of related experience
- Familiarity with general best shop practices
- Ability to perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities
- Display general mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency
- Ability to use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures
- Ability to learn and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes
- Ability to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness
- Ability to demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware
- Formal training, degree, or certification in avionics, electronics, or a related technical field
- Certification: Airman''s certificate, FCC license, or IPC level certification
- Experience with avionics systems and equipment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with avionics testing equipment
- Knowledge of software tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting of avionics systems
- Understanding of RF principles and their application in avionics systems
- Experience with soldering and crimping techniques for avionics wiring and connectors
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
