About The Role
As an Applied AI Engineer Intern, you'll be embedded directly with our Engineering team, working hands-on on one of our most ambitious initiatives: an AI-first product built from the ground up. This isn't a "run reports and sit in meetings" internship; you'll be writing real code, experimenting with cutting-edge AI/ML models, and solving hard problems that directly impact how lenders and borrowers experience our platform.
You'll collaborate closely with engineering and product members to design and ship AI-driven features, optimize model performance, and help establish the technical foundation for a product that's redefining what a modern SaaS lending platform can do. What You'll Do
- Build AI powered workflows using LLMs.
- Develop agentic in-app experience that enables users to interrogate, explore, and act on data insights.
- Develop strategies to test and optimize prompts.
- Work on OCR, Document Classification, Extraction, and Summarization systems.
- Build Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Typescript.
- Basic understanding of agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Interest in prompt engineering, optimization, and evaluation methods for improving real-world model performance.
