Position Overview
- We are seeking a Senior Apache NiFi Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Apache NiFi administration, AWS cloud administration and Terraform. This role will support enterprise data-flow platforms in production while also contributing to new environment builds, cloud modernization, and platform migration initiatives.
- The ideal candidate brings deep operational experience supporting NiFi in complex enterprise environments, with a strong focus on platform reliability, performance, security, high availability, and incident response. This individual must also have proven experience deploying and supporting migration efforts from on-prem infrastructure to cloud-based environments.
- Administer, support, and maintain Apache NiFi clusters in enterprise production environments
- Manage NiFi flows, processors, queues, templates, parameter contexts, and controller services
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of NiFi platforms
- Monitor platform health, throughput, latency, failures, and overall system performance
- Troubleshoot flow failures, back-pressure issues, cluster instability, and node failures
- Manage NiFi security, including TLS/SSL, certificates, access controls, users, and policies
- Perform root cause analysis and lead resolution of platform incidents and production issues
- Ensure high availability, recoverability, node health, and data integrity across environments
- Participate in new environment builds
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and support procedures
