About The Role
We are seeking a high-performing Account Sales Manager with experience in Engineering Services sales, preferably within the Rail industry or adjacent sectors such as automotive, locomotive systems, and industrial equipment. This role will drive strategic growth across key accounts, with a strong focus on selling digital, and embedded engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow strategic accounts within the Rail and transportation ecosystem across North America
- Drive revenue growth by selling Engineering Services (MANDATORY) across:
- Digital engineering (IoT, cloud, analytics, digital twins)
- Embedded systems (control systems, onboard software, signaling integration)
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within rail OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and operators
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Develop account plans, sales strategies, and pipeline forecasts to consistently exceed targets
- Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, and solution teams to craft differentiated value propositions
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles including prospecting, proposals, negotiations, and deal closure
- Position solutions in areas such as rolling stock engineering, signaling systems, predictive maintenance, digital twins, IoT-enabled rail systems, and asset lifecycle management
- Stay ahead of market trends including electrification, smart mobility, and autonomous rail systems
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Engineering Services sales
- Experience working with global delivery models and offshore/nearshore teams
- Proven track record of selling engineering services in one or more of the following domains:
- Rail industry (preferred)
- Automotive engineering services
- Locomotive systems
- Industrial Equipment & Heavy Machinery (IEHM)
- Strong understanding of:
- Embedded systems (control systems, onboard software, signaling integration)
- Digital engineering (IoT, cloud, analytics, digital twins)
- Demonstrated success in managing large accounts and achieving annual sales targets
- Existing relationships with Rail OEMs, transit authorities, or freight operators in North America
- Experience in rolling stock, rail infrastructure, or intelligent transportation systems
- Familiarity with standards/technologies such as PTC, Train Control Management Systems, ERTMS, CBTC, onboard diagnostics, and predictive maintenance platforms
- Bachelor’s in engineering or any equivalent engineering degree
- MBA or equivalent business management degree
