About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist to support the development, testing, and validation of advanced mechanical systems within a high-performance aerospace environment.
In this role, you will work on innovative technologies across areas such as Environmental Control Systems (ECS), life support systems, and hydraulic components. You will be involved in the full development cycle, from concept through testing and validation, contributing to next-generation aerospace solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans based on system and customer requirements
- Design, build, and validate test rigs and experimental setups aligned with industry standards
- Acquire, analyze, and interpret data using data acquisition (DAQ) systems
- Conduct root cause analysis and support product investigations
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams
- Support design reviews and provide technical recommendations
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
- Work across multidisciplinary systems including ECS, hydraulics, and life support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electronics Engineering
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, etc.)
- Experience with CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD
- Hands-on experience in testing, validation, or lab environments
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and engineering analysis tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Effective communication and technical reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or defense industry
- Exposure to ECS, hydraulics, or environmental systems
