Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Digital Engineer to work on mission-critical aerospace and defense systems. This role involves leading the design and development of advanced digital and embedded solutions, from concept through production.
You will take ownership of key digital components within complex systems such as radar or electronic warfare applications, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to innovation across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, simulate, and integrate digital subsystems into advanced products
- Perform end-to-end development including requirements definition, firmware design, verification, and system integration
- Translate system requirements into digital designs using microcontrollers, FPGAs, ADCs/DACs, and related components
- Lead circuit card design including component selection, schematic design, and layout oversight
- Develop and simulate FPGA architectures using VHDL
- Write, debug, and optimize embedded software for microcontrollers
- Conduct testing, validation, and system-level integration of hardware components
- Interface with RF subsystems and complex electromechanical assemblies
- Prepare technical documentation including design specifications and verification procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic product design and development
- Experience across the full product lifecycle (architecture, design, layout, testing, and production)
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado or Altera Quartus
- Strong knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and embedded systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Eligibility to comply with U.S. export control regulations (U.S. Person requirement)
