Job Summary:
Siemens is an early-stage company reimagining how intelligent systems interact with the physical world. As the Vice President of Engineering, you will own the technology strategy and execution for generative AI systems, overseeing the growth of the engineering organization and ensuring product velocity and technical quality scale together.
Responsibilities:
• Defining and owning the engineering vision, structure, and roadmap
• Partnering with the lead executive to translate company vision into a scalable architecture and team
• Building, mentoring, and retaining a team of high-performing engineers and leaders
• Guiding technical decisions across infrastructure, product engineering, and ML systems
• Establishing engineering-wide practices for observability, experimentation, security, and quality
• Driving execution on key company initiatives across multiple product areas
• Being a champion of technical rigor, culture, and hiring excellence
Qualifications:
Required:
• 15 years of engineering experience, including 4 years leading multi-team organizations
• Deep technical background with exposure to distributed systems, ML infrastructure, or real-time platforms
• Demonstrated success scaling engineering orgs in high-growth or zero-to-one environments
• Ability to evaluate and guide architectural decisions across software and ML systems
• Executive-level communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional leaders
• A strong perspective on engineering culture, hiring, and long-term organizational health
Preferred:
• Prior experience in AI-native companies, ML product infrastructure, or robotics
• Built or led engineering teams at early-stage startups through rapid growth
• Track record of balancing innovation velocity with system sustainability
• Familiarity with the ML product lifecycle and how to support experimentation at scale
