Job Summary:
Aalis Management Consulting is an 8(a) certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused on delivering stakeholder support in various areas including IT Financial Management and Logistics. They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to enhance military personnel readiness and decision-making within the DoD.
Responsibilities:
• Develop predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and data visualizations to analyze military personnel trends (recruitment, retention, performance, health).
• Design and implement AI/ML solutions to optimize workforce readiness, training effectiveness, and resource allocation.
• Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from DoD systems (DEERS, MPT, HR systems) using Python, R, SQL, or Databricks.
• Support data-driven policy recommendations for senior leadership (SES/Flag Officer level).
• Collaborate with DoD stakeholders to standardize data governance and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with DoD data security policies (RMF, FISMA, NIST SP 800-series).
• Deploy NLP, generative AI, or computer vision (as applicable) for personnel analytics.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 8 years in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics (DoD experience a must).
• Proven track record in Python/R, SQL, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik for data visualization
Preferred:
• AWS/Azure Data Scientist
• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
• DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II (e.g., Security CE, CISSP)
