Job Summary:
Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers, and they are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect for Dataflix Inc. to design, implement, and manage enterprise data solutions while modernizing data infrastructure and enabling advanced analytics and AI capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures on Microsoft Azure.
• Lead data strategy development, including cloud migration, modernization, and integration initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements.
• Build and maintain data models, data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines using Azure services such as: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database / Azure Cosmos DB.
• Ensure data solutions adhere to best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
• Guide and mentor data engineers and developers on cloud-native design patterns and best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for data architecture improvements.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in data architecture, with 5 years specifically in Azure cloud data services.
• Strong experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data integration patterns.
• Proficient with Azure services such as Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, and Logic Apps.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, Scala, or Spark.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD for data solutions using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with data governance tools and frameworks (e.g., Purview, GDPR, HIPAA compliance).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
• Background in analytics, machine learning, or AI integration is a plus.
