Job Summary:

They are seeking a Research Assistant to conduct research in mathematical and theoretical biology and artificial intelligence, focusing on viral dynamics and immune system modeling.
Responsibilities:
• Pursue research in mathematical and theoretical biology and artificial intelligence, with emphasis on problems in influenza virus and immune system modeling
• Develop models in collaboration with experimental scientists that generate new insights into the dynamics of viral infections, the immune response and virus-immune system interactions
• Use the principles from viral infection, transmission and control and immune responses to develop frameworks for other non-biological systems (such as large language models)
Qualifications:
Required:
• Enthusiastic students with mathematical, statistical and machine learning skills.
• Strong interest in viral dynamics, immunology and artificial intelligence.
• Good programming skills.
• Good working knowledge of one or more mathematical or statistical packages (e.g., Python and R).
• Excellent English (both written and oral).
• Bachelor of Science degree in data science, computational biology, mathematics, computer science, physics or a related field.
Preferred:
• Education and demonstrated research experience in one of the following areas: data science, machine learning, large language models, computational biology, or mathematical modeling.
