Job Summary:
Haynes Mechanical Systems is a fast-growing commercial HVAC, building automation, and energy services company. They are seeking a BAS Controls Applications Engineer to design and configure building control systems, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality control while responding to engineering projects and leading material submissions.
Responsibilities:
• Provides AutoCAD drafting support for various reliability projects (Software and computer will be provided)
• Material procurement – includes assembly of Bill of Materials, validation of materials received and reconciliation of materials returned from projects to stock
• Maintains project file creation and storage of all drawings, backups and documentation from commissioning/field
• Field verification site visits on design as directed by Client Services Lead Engineer
• Assembly of as-built drawings and delivery to customers upon completion of project
• Assumes personal and professional responsibilities for his/her actions and activities
• Maintains a professional relationship with supervisor, fellow employees, and others
• Maintains consistency and punctuality in a submission of all work assignments to their supervisor
Qualifications:
Required:
• Computer skills – Excel, Word, AutoCAD
• Background in any of the following desired: JCI, Trane, Alerton, Siemens, Honeywell, Distech, Niagara, or similar
• Working knowledge in control theory, building automation systems, HVAC and other building subsystems
• 2 Years of strongly relevant experience, ie designing building automation controls for HVAC systems
Preferred:
• 5 years in the Building Automation Systems and Controls industry preferred
