Job Summary:
Astemo Ltd. is seeking an IT Application Support Engineer to support their Information Technology department in production systems administration. The role involves providing support for BI Dashboards, Reporting, and Database Administration across multiple facilities, requiring travel between Ohio plants.
Responsibilities:
• Administrate and support IT Production Systems to include Line Side Labeling, Traceability, IoT, and other systems as assigned.
• Support for report and dashboard creation to include an understanding of the underlying data, data structure, and business terminology. Using a variety of BI tools to include SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), Tableau, Power BI and others as applicable.
• Provide support to monitor, troubleshoot and tune existing databases.
• Provide support to troubleshoot existing programs to resolve issues.
• Provide technical support for in-house developed systems.
• Perform testing of programming development.
• Assist in creating, maintaining, and testing the Disaster Recovery Plan.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Working knowledge of business systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in programming languages to support end-user reporting requirements.
• Understanding of Microsoft-based productivity software.
• Working knowledge of SQL Databases & basic network configuration.
• Working Knowledge of IT Hardware and Software.
• Associate’s degree, applicable certificates, or equivalent IT experience.
Preferred:
• Experience with C#, VB.net, JavaScript, JSON, and XML a plus.
