Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
• Assists with transferring raw data to the appropriate location for use in data analysis projects.
• Utilizes existing documentation and guidance from senior staff to wrangle, clean, and validate agency data sources.
• Contributes to general analysis of agency datasets.
• Conducts data quality checks to ensure the validity and cleanliness of agency datasets prior to their use in analysis and reporting.
• Interprets data and from multiple sources using a variety of analytical techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to data mining, to supporting statistical methodologies.
• Develops compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to target audience(s).
• Adheres to HIPAA, PII, PHI and other state statutes concerned with protecting data confidentiality and individual privacy.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Associate’s Degree with some experience, or at least 2 years of experience applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.
• Experience with data manipulation, including cleansing, standardizing, and transforming.
• Knowledge of statistical software, open-source programming languages, and database querying or demonstrated ability to learn.
• Experience with SQL, Tableau, R, Python, PowerBI, and/or ArcGIS.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Broad knowledge of data analysis, analytics, or statistics or demonstrated ability to learn.
• Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and fluid demands.
• Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
