We are seeking a seasoned permanent Veterinarian with a passion for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency room procedures, surgery, and animal science. This position will require the candidate to work in a fast-paced animal hospital setting, utilizing their expertise to ensure the health and well-being of our furry patients. The permanent Veterinarian will be a key member of our healthcare team, working closely with our staff to provide the highest standard of care.

We are seeking a seasoned permanent Veterinarian with a passion for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency room procedures, surgery, and animal science. This position will require the candidate to work in a fast-paced animal hospital setting, utilizing their expertise to ensure the health and well-being of our furry patients. The permanent Veterinarian will be a key member of our healthcare team, working closely with our staff to provide the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations on a variety of animals to assess their health status and identify any health problems.
- Conduct diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, blood samples, and ultrasounds to determine the cause of health problems.
- Perform surgical procedures, including spay/neuter surgeries, dental procedures, and emergency surgeries.
- Prescribe medication and provide advice on pet care to animal owners.
- Collaborate with veterinary assistants and other healthcare team members to provide top-notch care to patients.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records, including diagnosis, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
- Educate pet owners on the importance of vaccinations, heartworm treatments, flea and tick prevention, and other aspects of preventive care.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian, with a focus on emergency room procedures and surgery.
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine.
- Proven experience working in an animal hospital setting.
- Extensive knowledge of animal science and veterinary best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical conditions and treatments to pet owners.
- Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and calmly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly in emergency situations.
- Compassionate and understanding nature, with a genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
