Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide structural design for buildings and industrial structures.
- Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos, and specifications on structural projects
- Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices including recent building and engineering codes (AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC) in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
- Uses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments
- Directs junior engineers, designers, and CADD technicians to successfully execute and deliver project work
- Prepares or reviews specifications, scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
- Prepares or reviews complete project documents.
- Formulates and solves problems.
- Provide QA-QC for plans
- Works in a team environment to deliver a range of structural engineering projects
- Understands and adheres to assigned phase and task schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of project
- Assists with proposals development
- Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments.
- Interface effectively with clients and construction team.
- Conducts site visits, site observations and client meetings
- Selects appropriate structural systems for project requirements.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFI’s and perform field observations during Construction Administration phase.
