Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing comprehensive financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to aid strategic decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with all tax planning and regulations.
- Managing cash flow and preparing financial reports on a regular basis.
- Reconciling general ledger (GL) and bank statements.
- Utilizing advanced Excel skills for v-look ups, pivot tables, and other financial analyses.
- Working extensively with the general ledger and QuickBooks Online ERP.
- Allocating insurance and tracking notice to owner (NTO).
- Assisting with employee onboarding and providing benefits support.
- Utilizing your commercial construction experience to improve financial processes and strategies.
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online ERP.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including v-look ups and pivot tables.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and tax planning.
- Proven experience in reconciling GL and bank statements.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
