We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Staff Accountant to join our team in the healthcare industry. This role is integral to our financial operations and requires a professional with a keen eye for detail, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of financial and accounting principles. As a Consulting Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including verifying transactions, processing bi-weekly payroll, reconciling balance sheets and bank statements, preparing and filing tax returns, and assisting in internal and external auditing. This role requires a firm grasp of accounting software such as NetSuite and Paylocity, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Staff Accountant to join our team in the healthcare industry. As a Consulting Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including verifying transactions, processing bi-weekly payroll, reconciling balance sheets and bank statements, preparing and filing tax returns, and assisting in internal and external auditing. This role requires a firm grasp of accounting software such as NetSuite and Paylocity, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Verify transactions and obtain authorizations for invoice payments.
- Schedule and prepare disbursements, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and timely.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, resolve payroll issues, and create manual checks when necessary.
- Reconcile balance sheets and bank statements on a regular basis.
- Create and approve journal entries, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with financial regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to the Director of Finance.
- Prepare and file 1099s, property tax, and use tax returns.
- Assist in internal and external auditing processes.
- Maintain the integrity of financial information by implementing and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices in an organized and efficient manner.
- Maintain a positive attitude and solid work ethic, demonstrating a commitment to team success and excellent customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Proficient in accounting software such as NetSuite and Paylocity.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with 3-way matching, invoice processing, and payroll.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
