We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Tax Associate to join our fast-paced Accounting and Finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail to take their career to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our diverse client base, preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, and ensuring compliance with state and federal tax laws. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, deepen tax knowledge, and work with a team of seasoned professionals in a stimulating work environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
2. Conduct thorough tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies for our clients.
3. Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support.
4. Assist in the development and implementation of effective tax management strategies.
5. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax associates.
6. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in tax laws and regulations.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
8. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax forecasts.
9. Participate in special projects as needed, providing tax expertise.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CPA certification or Master’s degree in Taxation is highly desirable.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and review.
4. Extensive knowledge of federal and state income tax laws and regulations.
5. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
10. Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
11. High level of integrity and professionalism.
