We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. Responsibilities
As a Permanent Senior Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Analyzing financial data and creating financial models for decision support.
- Participating in the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Collaborating with the finance team to improve financial procedures and systems.
- Providing support for internal and external audits.
- Assisting with tax preparation and filing.
- Participating in special projects as required.
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Staff Accountant role should possess the following qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience in budget planning, financial forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
