Job Details
This leader will be responsible for aligning and optimizing multi-site operations spanning threading, heat treatment, and pipe processing. The role requires a balance of hands-on operational leadership and strategic execution, with a strong focus on people, process, and performance standardization.
The position reports directly to executive leadership and will play a key role in shaping how the organization scales and evolves operationally.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operations across multiple OCTG manufacturing facilities, including threading, heat treatment, and yard/logistics functions
Drive alignment and standardization across sites to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
Lead, coach, and develop Plant Managers and site leadership teams, strengthening organizational structure and succession planning
Establish and manage KPIs and operating rhythms, ensuring accountability across all locations
Own and improve conversion cost performance, including labor, consumables, and utilities
Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence)
Oversee capital planning and execution, including facility upgrades and operational investments
Improve coordination across production, maintenance, and logistics to enhance throughput and efficiency
Partner with executive leadership to align operations with business strategy and growth objectives
Required Experience
15 years of experience in OCTG, steel tubular, or pipe manufacturing operations (required)
Direct experience with threading, heat treatment, pipe processing, or related OCTG operations
Proven success leading multi-site or complex manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of API standards (e.g., 5CT, 5B, 5L) and customer/audit requirements
Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvement, cost optimization, and performance alignment
Experience managing large teams and developing leadership bench strength
Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership and conversion cost management
Experience leading or supporting CAPEX projects and facility investments
Leadership Profile
Hands-on, floor-connected leader who can also operate at a strategic level
Strong communicator able to align teams across multiple sites
Comfortable operating in an environment with evolving structure and opportunity to build
Proven ability to develop people, drive accountability, and implement change
Additional Details
Multi-site oversight with ~20% travel
