As a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst, you will be a key player in driving the financial performance and strategy of our engineering firm. Your role will be pivotal in providing financial insights and recommendations that will aid in decision-making processes, ensuring the company's financial health and growth. You will be responsible for trend analysis, budget proposals, job cost accounting, regulatory compliance, and forecasting. You will also work closely with project managers to understand profitability and resource allocation and ensure audit package requirements for FDOT, USEPA, and FHWA are met.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed financial analyses, including trend analysis, to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
2. Prepare and present budget proposals to senior management, providing a clear understanding of financial performance and implications for business strategy.
3. Collaborate with project managers to understand project profitability, resource allocation, and cost management.
4. Ensure regulatory compliance with FDOT, USEPA, FHWA, and other relevant authorities.
5. Prepare audit package requirements for various regulatory bodies.
6. Utilize Deltek ERP software for efficient financial management and reporting.
7. Implement job cost accounting practices to accurately track project costs and profitability.
8. Develop forecasting models to predict future financial performance.
9. Create and maintain executive dashboards to provide a high-level view of company financials to senior management.
10. Provide financial insights and recommendations to influence strategic decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or an MBA would be an advantage.
2. A minimum of 6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the engineering industry.
3. Proficiency in trend analysis, budget proposals, job cost accounting, and regulatory compliance.
4. Experience in working with project managers to understand profitability and resource allocation.
5. Familiarity with audit package requirements for FDOT, USEPA, FHWA.
6. Proficient in using Deltek ERP software for financial management and reporting.
7. Strong forecasting skills and experience in creating executive dashboards.
8. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
9. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in an understandable manner.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
