Job Details
As our Senior Earthwork Estimator, you’ll take the lead on preconstruction efforts related to grading, mass excavation, and site development. You’ll work closely with ownership and operations leadership to analyze plans, build bids, and set projects up for success. You’ll also help improve internal processes and mentor junior team members as the department grows.
Lead earthwork quantity takeoffs and build accurate estimates using AGTEK and other tools.
Review civil plans, topographic surveys, and soils/geotech reports in detail.
Prepare cost breakdowns, scope clarifications, and value engineering options.
Attend pre-bid meetings and engage with owners, GCs, engineers, and subcontractors as needed.
Collaborate with field teams to ensure continuity between estimating and operations.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior estimators or takeoff specialists.
Support business development with conceptual estimates and budgeting.
Requirements
5 years of experience in earthwork or sitework estimating (mass grading, cut/fill, export/import, etc.).
Expert-level proficiency in AGTEK is required.
Deep understanding of civil plans, survey data, and construction logistics.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload and schedule.
Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
Desire to grow with the company and help shape its future estimating operations.
