We are on the hunt for a savvy, experienced and passionate Senior Estimator with a focus on Tilt Up and Self Storage in the Construction industry. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment on a variety of challenging projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, with a deep understanding of construction practices and principles. Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the success of our projects. These include
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for Tilt Up and Self Storage construction projects.
- Reviewing and interpreting project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Evaluating and compiling data on factors that may influence costs, such as location, duration, availability of materials, and labor rates.
- Interacting with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to clarify project details and resolve any discrepancies.
- Presenting and explaining cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
- Assisting in the negotiation of contracts and bids.
- Monitoring project progress to ensure that costs stay within budget.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest construction methods, materials, and regulations.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the Construction industry, with a focus on Tilt Up and Self Storage projects.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
