Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will be
- Managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Overseeing job cost analysis to improve financial efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Participating in the ongoing development and implementation of financial systems and processes.
- Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external auditors.
- Collaborating with the accounting team to streamline accounting functions and operations.
- Providing guidance to junior staff and assisting with their training and development.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position will have the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification will be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Proficient in accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and job cost analysis. Experience in cost accounting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear terms.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
