We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and dedicated Permanent Personal Injury Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of personal injury litigation issues, including motor vehicle accidents and medical malpractice cases. This position is ideal for a seasoned litigator with a proven track record of success in trial, and a deep understanding of personal injury law. Our firm is committed to providing the highest quality legal representation to our clients, and we are looking for an individual who shares that commitment.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and trial strategy.
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
• Represent clients in court, presenting evidence and arguments to achieve favorable resolutions.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and answering their questions.
• Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure efficient case management.
• Stay current on developments in personal injury law and practice, attending continuing legal education courses as necessary.
  

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Virginia State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a personal injury attorney, with a strong record of successful litigation and trial experience.
• Proficient in all aspects of personal injury law, including negligence, tort law, and accident claims.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
• Strong case management skills, with the ability to handle a large caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Exceptional client relations skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Experience with negotiation and settlement of personal injury cases.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
