This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee the payroll process for a diverse range of employees across multiple states. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, benefits administration, and garnishment handling. This role demands a high attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a deep understanding of payroll systems and regulations.Responsibilities:1. Manage and execute end-to-end payroll operations for employees across multiple states, ensuring accurate and timely payment.2. Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and termination in accordance with company policies and procedures.3. Handle wage garnishments and levies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.4. Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies that may arise.5. Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in job status.6. Prepare and submit accurate reports on payroll activities to management.7. Stay updated on current regulations, best practices, and industry trends in payroll processing.8. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.9. Participate in audits and reviews of payroll records and procedures to ensure compliance.10. Continually enhance payroll systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.3. Proficient in payroll software, with a strong understanding of payroll and withholding taxes, benefits administration, and garnishment processes.4. Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail.5. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations relating to payroll, benefits, and garnishments.6. Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service oriented approach to answering employee inquiries.8. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.9.
