Our esteemed law firm is seeking a seasoned Permanent Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to support our attorneys by completing legal research, preparing legal documentation, managing cases, providing litigation support, reviewing documents, and extending legal assistance. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for law, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
2. Prepare and draft various legal documents such as affidavits, legal correspondences, and other formal documents.
3. Manage and organize case files, ensuring all important case documents, evidence, and information are accurately filed and easily accessible.
4. Provide litigation support, including assisting with trial preparation, arranging exhibits, and liaising with clients and witnesses.
5. Conduct document reviews, scrutinizing them for relevancy and privilege information, and creating reports to assist attorneys.
6. Provide general legal assistance, such as coordinating law office activities, maintaining law libraries, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
7. Collaborate with attorneys to manage their caseload effectively, and ensure all deadlines are met.
8. Attend court proceedings and meetings, taking notes and reporting back to attorneys as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is required. A paralegal certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within the legal industry.
3. Proven experience in legal research, legal documentation, case management, litigation support, document review, and legal assistance.
4. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide solutions to complex legal issues.
7. Proficiency in using legal software and technology for case management, document review, and legal research.
