Responsibilities:
- Design of manufacturing processes.
- Collaboration with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex manufacturing equipment.
- Specification development for manufacturing equipment.
- Close collaboration with external equipment suppliers on equipment design.
- Management of external equipment suppliers from equipment development through buyoff.
- Validation and characterization of new equipment and fixtures for introduction to the production floor.
- Partner with maintenance in root cause analysis of down equipment. Develop and implement changes to mitigate repetitive downtime.
- Fixturing and tooling design experience in CATIA or Solidworks
- Experience in CNC metal machining processes using CNC vertical machining centers and CNC lathes
- BS in Engineering
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
- 1 years in CNC machining, programming and cutting tool selection
- Experience with the selection of machining equipment
