Responsibilities:
- Represent Taft-Hartley multiemployer benefit plans in federal court
- Handle delinquent contribution collection matters
- Prepare demand letters and negotiate resolutions
- Draft motions, briefs and other pleadings
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Manage discovery, including document collection and review
- Communicate directly with clients
- Assist with depositions and other litigation proceedings
- Prepare cases for trial
- Manage matters through various stages of federal litigation
- 2 years of legal experience representing Taft-Hartley trust funds/multiemployer benefit plans
- Demonstrated experience with delinquent contribution collection
- Federal court litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills
- Strong academic background
- Excellent communication and case-management abilities
- D.C. Bar membership or eligibility for admission by waiver
- $165,000–$200,000 base salary, depending on relevant experience
- Bonus eligibility based on billing, realization and overall performance
- 1,825-hour annual billing target
