We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Land Use Planner to join our team in the Civil Engineering industry. The candidate will be responsible for working with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with jurisdiction policies, city codes, and annexations. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning applications, conceptual plans, permitting applications, and land use and zoning petitions. The candidate must have experience with ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD Civil, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Land Use Planner to join our team in the Civil Engineering industry. The candidate will be responsible for working with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with jurisdiction policies, city codes, and annexations. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning applications, conceptual plans, permitting applications, and land use and zoning petitions. The candidate must have experience with ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD Civil, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with jurisdiction policies, city codes, and annexations
- Prepare comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning applications, conceptual plans, permitting applications, and land use and zoning petitions
- Conduct research and analysis of land use and zoning issues
- Develop and implement strategies for land use and zoning
- Maintain knowledge of current land use and zoning regulations and trends
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve project goals
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in planning and design
- AICP Certified Planner, or eligible to become certified
- 2 years of experience in land development planning, civil engineering, or related field
- Experience with land use and zoning regulations and policies
- Knowledge of jurisdiction policies, city codes, and annexations
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD Civil, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
