Job Details
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Permanent IT Help Desk Support. This role is pivotal in our manufacturing industry, providing technical assistance to our team and ensuring the smooth running of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in high volume help desk ticketing and proficiency in Office 365.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and applications problems.
- Resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases.
- Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.
- Escalate more complex problems to the appropriate support groups.
- Assist in the maintenance and upgrading of systems and processes to ensure long-term stability and usability.
- Conduct proactive maintenance on common user issues to reduce the volume of reported problems.
- Provide training and guidance to users to enhance their skills and understanding of the systems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of all systems and to implement upgrades and improvements.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service, ensuring user satisfaction.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with high volume help desk ticketing.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and knowledge of other Microsoft software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems and processes would be an advantage.
- Relevant IT certifications would be advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
