Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop comprehensive mechanical HVAC systems for building projects
Assess existing site conditions and oversee project field measurements
Collaborate with clients to define project goals, resources, and requirements
Perform code analysis to ensure design compliance with applicable regulations
Define and manage engineering scope, budget, and project schedule
Create and coordinate Revit models using existing plans, surveys, and documentation in collaboration with project team members
Prepare engineering contract documents and calculations using CADD tools and HVAC design software
Specify appropriate materials, equipment, and system components
Review and perform quality checks on technical documents for accuracy and coordination
Develop project specifications and supporting documentation
Conduct material quantity take-offs and assist in preparing cost estimates
Stay current with mechanical codes, standards, and best practices
Review and respond to construction submittals during the construction phase
Conduct periodic site visits to observe construction progress and ensure adherence to design documents
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the architecture/engineering industry, with a focus on mechanical (HVAC) design
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable combination of education and experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York (required)
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD for developing mechanical HVAC systems
Strong working knowledge of the International Building Code
Experience in project management and/or team leadership is preferred
U.S. citizenship required; applicants must be able to pass security background checks in accordance with client requirements
